How We Started In Pharmacy

Can you do for me what Pharmacy 2U do? Pharmacy2 who?​

In 2019, Mr Harpreet Kullar, a pharmacist and owner of Blyth Healthcare Pharmacy asked local serial entrepreneur and expert marketer Paul Robson if he could do for him what Pharmacy2U were doing.

Paul takes up the story:

“Have you heard of Pharmacy 2U?” Harpreet, asked me to which I had to be honest, and I replied, “Pharmacy 2 Who???”

Harpreet showed an example of a letter they were sending out to generate new patients for free NHS prescription delivery.

After a quick perusal of the document, I replied “I would be disappointed if I couldn’t do better!”

Upon further consideration of the project and to cut what could be a very long story short I wrote a letter that Harpreet liked apart from one exception.

“I am not sure about the title” Harpreet said politely

“Trust me, the title is one of the main reasons the letter will work!” I replied

How right I would later prove to be.

In 2020 we grew Blyth Healthcare Pharmacy from around 10,000 monthly items to an incredible 16,000 items per month!

2021 was excellent too with the figure growing from a steady 16,000 in March to a superb 23,000 by the end of December.

How do we do it?

We focus on marketing principles I see ignored by far too many so called “marketing gurus”

Marketing should put money in the client’s bank account!

Harpreet introduced me to a few of his friends and they experienced great results, so we launched the service towards the end of the first quarter of 2021.

In a little over a year, we have worked with over 100 pharmacies with all being delighted with the service.

New name for our family business!

Robson Pharmacy Media is the new name for Paul Robson and Associates, renamed to not only indicate the move further into pharmacy marketing services but also to reflect the ever-increasing roles Paul Robson’s grown-up children are having in developing the business.

Whether you are bricks and mortar, Late night or online; From the only pharmacist in the village to “I have 17 pharmacies within a 2 – 3 mile radius” here are a few more points of feedback:

  • Over 3,000 items in just 6 weeks
  • 210 new patients after sending just over 3,000 letters
  • 730 new items in the first 3 weeks from 1,500 letters
  • 8 items per sign up
  • New patients still registering 4+ months later

The business was founded by UK serial entrepreneur Paul Robson who has over 30 years’ experience in sales, marketing and developing business’ in over 80 industries.
